Working with a Master Tea Blender, Mama Tea has taken the principles of traditional tea blending and applied them to herbal tea, in order to make each tea taste really good. Sometimes, if you use only one herb on its own or don’t blend it properly, the tea can taste a little bitter. As a result, they wanted each Mama Tea to be blended to taste good whilst making sure that they all tasted very different.

About this tea

An earthy, all-round blend to enjoy whenever you want a little glow. We have blended the earthy richness of rooibos with the delicate white blossom of elderflowers, boosted with echinacea leaf and dandelion to give a sunny, caffeine-free tea. Rooibos is a traditional South African tea and comes from the leaves of the rooibos plant which is grown in the Cedarburg mountains in South Africa. It is very popular in South Africa and has been used by pregnant and nursing women throughout pregnancy.

Tasting notes

Earthy rooibos builds to the dizzy heights of echinacea elderflowers and dandelion, glowing with taste which lingers on the palate.

Drink

Enjoy this tea in the same way as you would black tea, sometimes with milk, a slice of lemon or some honey. As it is a lot less bitter than black tea, the sweet flavour means that those of you with a sweet tooth can enjoy this. It can also be served as an iced drink for warm summer evenings.
